Framing Technique

I used the framing technigue in this photo. I wanted to show the Coral Towers, from the perspective of looking up to get the idea oh how large they are. So I took the arch of the Coral Towers and framed the palm tree to be center of the photograph, as well as frame the palm tree with still a different perspective of the towers. Since they are captured at an angle.

A Combination

I this photo I used this crater in the sand as my center of the photo. But then I noticed my shadow in the photo, so I adjusted my shadow and my camera to capture my self in the left third portion, to show emphasis on my shadow as well as the crater, by centering it in the middle. I tried to almost trick the eye, and keep your attention to the photograph and its objects. So this I believe used, the thirds rule, centering, as well as an unique angle since the photograph has a diiferent perspective.

Perpective or Unique Angle

This is a photo that I took in the Bahamas. There were all these amazing yachts lined up on this pier, there were so many, that I wanted to show the depth of the amount and how large they were. I captured this lifesaver ring hanging on one of the pier post to somewhat tell the story of where I was and what I was trying to say in the photo. So I think this photo captures an angle that was carfully thought through to tell the story of the photograph.

Assignment 1

In this advertisement the artist uses contrast and repetition or rhythm to catch their reader’s attention. The contrast between the normal recognized foosball figure, and the ballerina figure that is added makes the changes and message of the advertisement obvious to its audience. The color contrast is also used to grab your attention the pint against the normal colors seen on a foosball table. Since the average person has seen and played on a foosball table, the reader will recognize the difference and the out of place kicker. Rhythm was used in the angle the foosball table was photographed. How the bars are at a diagonal, which with the contrast differences in color and the odd kicker can almost point the readers eye to the point of reference the ad is trying to attract you to. After looking at this ad closely, I think that there is an added radial glow or lighting centering on the ballerina, which directs the reader’s eye to the focal point of the advertisement. These combinations of lighting, color, angle and repetition; which clearly conveys the advertisements message without having to specifically say. I think this advertisement does a great job in using different principal of design to attract a reader’s attention.
